Introducing Riley’s Angels 🐾💗

Today was such a beautiful and emotional step forward as we officially introduced Riley’s Angels, our new nonprofit created in honor of Riley — a close family friend of the Marcie’s crew, a huge animal lover, and a vibrant soul who left this world far too soon. Riley had a heart for animals, especially community cats, and we hope to carry her light forward by caring for them in her name.

Our launch event was a huge success — we sold out of bracelets (thank you, thank you! 😭💞) and we’ll have more coming soon for everyone who missed out!

Why Riley’s Angels? 🐱✨

Riley’s Angels was created to support Trap, Neuter & Return (TNR) efforts in our community. TNR is essential in caring for stray cat colonies — ensuring cats receive medical care, preventing overpopulation, and helping friendly cats find loving homes. It’s a huge undertaking for rescues, and our goal is to assist with supplies, sponsor adoption fees, and provide continued care for cats who are released back into their colonies.

As a small business, our fundraising reach has always been limited. Becoming a nonprofit allows us to expand our impact in a meaningful way — reaching more cats and providing longer-term support for the rescues and trappers doing this critical work.

Official Kickoff – May 3 💫

Today, on Riley’s birthday, we officially kicked off Riley’s Angels — and our hearts are so full. So many people came out to show their support, and it truly meant the world to us. Being able to gather, share Riley’s story, and connect with our community in her honor was incredibly special.

We had informational cards with donation QR codes available, shared details about our mission, and connected everyone with our amazing board members — including our dedicated trappers. Bracelets (handmade with so much love!) sold out quickly, and we are so grateful for the outpouring of support.

GoFundMe

Our GoFundMe is now live! If you’d like a bracelet, you can make a $15 donation and note “bracelet” in your message. We’ll receive notifications for each donation, and if we don’t receive mailing information, we’ll reach out via email to make sure it gets to you. Amber is testing the process now to make sure everything runs smoothly!

We’re also excited to share that we haven’t had a Riley’s Angel 😇 Cat in a while — but Bubs will be our next one! We’ll also be sharing our volunteer application link because so many of you have asked, “How can I help?” We are so grateful for that enthusiasm.

This is truly a work in progress, and we welcome your ideas, fundraising suggestions, and support as we grow. Riley’s Angels is built on love, community, and the belief that even the smallest act of kindness can change a life — feline or human. 🐾💗
